A Private Investigator's Point of View
Article Published:Apr 15
The private investigation industry can be as complex and uncertain as any other business out there. I am often asked by my clients and colleagues where I source my information from or how IâÂÂve become familiar with a particular subject. My response is usually along the lines of âÂÂthe same place doctors, lawyers or accountants get theirs ⦠the internetâÂÂ.
The internet, as a source of information for private investigators, is the go-to place for just about anything an investigator needs to know. The trick is to find information that is factual and relevant. I personally rely on 3 sites to keep myself informed or up-to-date on industry matters and trends.ÃÂ For me, these are (in no particular order):
1.Private Investigator Advice. www.privateinvestigatoradvicehq.com
This blog is really up there with the best in content delivery, which also includes podcasts on various topics on the investigations arena.
2.Pursuit Magazine. www.pursuitmag.com
This online publication contains a plethora of information and very interesting articles. Definitely a âÂÂmust readâ for all business and private investigators out there.
3.The Circuit. www.circuit-magazine.com
This is not so much about private investigations but focuses more on the field of bodyguarding and executive protection. I choose to get this publication in hard copy, however, the overall content, which often does include surveillance and counter-surveillance tips, are great and insightful.
So, there you have it â my choices. Go and see for yourself!
